Med Surg RN Job in Lander, WY

You will provide direct and individualized nursing care to medical-surgical patients at SH Sagewest Health Care in Lander, Wyoming. Working 3x12 day shifts over a 91-day assignment beginning October 26, 2026, you'll deliver evidence-based care to pre- and post-operative patients, as well as a variety of medical patients.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, or IV routes; report adverse reactions promptly
• Monitor vital signs and patient medical information accurately and in a timely manner
• Manage specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays
• Perform bedside nursing tasks such as dressing changes, catheter insertion, and IV starts
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care requirements
• Initiate corrective action when patients display adverse symptoms
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments
• Respond to life-saving situations according to nursing standards and protocol
• Participate in discharge planning and time management
• Occasional care for pediatric and adolescent patients
• May float between two campuses based on facility census

Requirements:

• Current Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (all through the American Heart Association)

You will earn $2,214 per week for the duration of this assignment.
