Med Surg RN Job in Casper, Wyoming

Wyoming Medical Center Central in Casper is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Med Surg unit. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week at an 89-day assignment starting August 24, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,295.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural needs, and discharge planning requirements
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Provide direct patient care based on physician orders and nursing plan of care while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and contribute to improvement of national nursing quality indicators
• Precept and mentor staff as appropriate to support professional growth

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Wyoming
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg specialty area
• Wyoming DFS clearance
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Passing EKG exam
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
