Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, three days per week
• Option of 13 or 26-week contract available
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float to other units required based on census needs and skill set
• Staffing ratio of 1:6 on nights
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Care for patients with diagnoses including Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Pneumonia, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
• Perform peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation procedures
• Specialized inpatient stroke and TIA unit with higher acuity med-surg patients
• Strong focus on patient experience
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required - no first-time travelers
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Active Tennessee RN license required
• Required skills include: telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line blood draw, PICC line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, continuous bladder irrigation, wound care/wound vac, heparin and insulin management, PCA, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube care and management, accessing/managing ports, and use of rapid response/code teams
