Pediatric ED RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Emergency Department. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, in a 23-bed unit on the first floor.

Unit Overview

• Patient ratios of 4:1 (5:1 during surge periods)
• Day shift team includes 4 RNs, 1 Charge RN, 5 mid-shift RNs, 1 mid-shift Unit Clerk, and 1 EMT
• EHR: Meditech; Monitoring: GE monitors

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced pediatric emergency setting. Responsibilities include port access, IV starts, venipuncture, nasal wash, point-of-care testing, EKG placement, and Foley catheter placement. You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to manage acute pediatric patients and their families.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric ED experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC (PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC)

Preferred Qualifications

• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
• CPEN (Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse)
• ENUS IV competency
