PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Holiday rotation required
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float within the facility as required, same expectation as current staff nurses (agency floats first)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina RN license or Compact license required prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Preferred certification: NIHSS
• Preferred charting experience: Epic
• Scrub color: Royal blue
• Free parking available
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• 12-bed unit
• Key skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, IV insulin protocols, isolation precautions/PPE, wound care/wound vac, starting and maintaining IVs, phlebotomy, PICC line management, non-invasive airway management, and use of rapid response/code teams
