Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend and holiday shifts required
• On-call required with a 30-minute response time
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required
• Current NYS RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs
• Must possess thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to provide quality patient care
• Must be able to assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
• Must recognize safety issues and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to move patients safely
• Must function well in stressful situations with good, creative problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate
• May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required
• Knowledge in the use of typical clinical equipment and instrumentation utilized in providing a safe and/or aseptic environment in an OR/ASU setting required
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills required
• 100-mile radius rule applies
