OR RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is hiring a registered nurse for the operating room. This is a 117-day travel assignment starting September 14, 2026, paying $2,444 per week.

Role and Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma
• Support a Level 1 trauma program with high case volume and complexity
• Assist with transplant cases involving livers, kidneys, and hearts
• Work with two Da Vinci robotic surgical systems
• Respond to on-call, callback, floating, holiday, and weekend requirements as needed by the unit

Schedule and Requirements

• 12-hour rotating day, evening, and night shifts
• Two years of operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma center required
• New York state RN license required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Telemetry certification highly desired
• Level 1 trauma hospital experience highly desired

Preferred Background

• Experience with specialty cases including transplants, plastics, reconstructive procedures, and craniotomy
• Strong orthopedic surgical background
