Join the Emergency Department at University of North Carolina Health Care System as a Registered Nurse. This 89-day travel assignment offers you the opportunity to deliver high-acuity patient care in a dynamic hospital setting while earning $2,010 per week on 12-hour shifts.

Role Overview

You will provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards, managing complex patient presentations and coordinating care delivery using the nursing process. Your responsibilities include:

• Assess patients presenting with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety concerns
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care based on patient and family needs
• Recognize critical data from complex situations to determine care priorities
• Anticipate and assess discharge planning needs for individual patients and families
• Collaborate with patients and families to develop or update care plans
• Consult with appropriate resources for patients with complex care issues and high-risk discharge needs
• Communicate relevant clinical information to promote continuity of care across the care team
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions for patient care evaluation
• Maintain hospital environment standards, policies, and procedures to ensure safety and cleanliness for all patients and staff
• Support unit goals and participate in performance improvement activities

Requirements

You must have a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience and hold a current RN license. You will apply your expertise to manage fast-paced, high-acuity situations and work collaboratively with the broader healthcare team.
