Opportunity:

RN - CVICU; Additional Notes from VMS= Cardiac Mechanical Support Coordinator

Job Details:

• 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (or 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM), Monday through Friday
• 1 weekend of call per month plus 1 weekday of call required
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (guaranteed hours policy)
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• Round on both inpatient and outpatient individuals
• Service and troubleshoot cardiac mechanical support devices both inpatient and in clinic
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cardiac mechanical support devices
• Must have experience with Durable MCS devices (HM 3, Heartware, BrioVAD), IABP, and Impella devices
• Strong cardiac background required with VAD, IABP, and Impella experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience managing advanced heart failure patients preferred
• CTICU and VAD Coordinator experience is a plus
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License in hand required
• Required certifications: BLS
• Required skills: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), Hemodynamic Monitoring
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms
• Block schedule may be accommodated pending manager approval based on unit needs
