Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Float throughout Zone 3, which covers a 60-mile radius and includes multiple hospital locations
• Housing must be obtained within the 60-mile zone to accommodate floating requirements
• Must be present in state during the week of orientation, even if first day modules are completed remotely
• Valid driver's license required
• Level 3 Trauma facility treating approximately 40 patients per day
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 based on acuity
• Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
• ER holds are intermixed within the ER
• Charge nurse takes an assignment
• Techs support unit secretary work, assist nurses on the floor, and assist in triage
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for breathing treatments and ABGs
• No monitor tech on unit - RNs must be able to read and interpret telemetry independently
• Will be trained and perform Point of Care lab testing
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
