CVICU RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak in San Antonio, TX is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week contract position in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).

Position Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a specialized cardiovascular intensive care environment. This role involves monitoring complex cardiac patients, managing hemodynamic support systems, administering medications, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based nursing care.

Schedule and Compensation

• Shift: 3x12 nights (36 hours per week)
• Duration: 91 days (13 weeks)
• Start date: September 18, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,674

What You'll Do

• Assess and monitor cardiovascular patients requiring intensive care
• Operate and troubleshoot cardiac monitoring equipment and invasive lines
• Administer vasoactive medications and manage patient response
• Communicate patient status and changes with the medical team
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
• Document nursing care and maintain accurate medical records

Requirements

• Current RN license in Texas
• CVICU experience preferred
• BLS certification required
