Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Travel experience required - no exceptions
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
• Missouri or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Patient ratios: 6 patients per nurse on days, 7 patients per nurse on nights, same ratios on weekends
• Care for patients across a combined medical and surgical floor, with staff assigned both medical and surgical patients on the same shift
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Common patient diagnoses include orthopedic surgeries (TKR/THR/RCR/spine), gynecology, urology, GI procedures (appendectomy, gallbladder, resections, mastectomies), COPD, CHF, sepsis, UTI, and pneumonia
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Travelers may be required to float to different units
• 2 references required
• No specific charting system experience required
