Telemetry RN Job in Augusta, GA

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Telemetry unit. This is a travel position offering 3x12 day shifts over a 105-day assignment beginning October 26, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,817.

Position Overview

You will care for adult and geriatric patients in a 36-bed telemetry unit with an average daily census of 35. Patient ratios are 1:4–5. The unit treats diagnoses including CHF, MI and chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias with device implants, hypertension and hypotension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and hemodynamic support
• Administer cardiac and vasoactive drips (milrinone, dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Bumex, Heparin) without titration
• Provide BiPAP/CPAP management, high-flow nasal cannula support, and ABG interpretation
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IV lines, and heparin protocols
• Provide tracheostomy care, chest tube management, feeding tube care, and wound care/wound vac
• Administer blood products, IV insulin, and PCA medications
• Support post-cardiac angiogram, MI, and cardiac surgery patients
• Float within the facility as needed; participate in rapid response and code teams

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Active Georgia or Compact nursing license
• BLS and ACLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
• Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR charting
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract; blackout dates include Spring Break (April 4–12)
• Holiday expectations: work all major holidays if one or two fall during assignment; work two of three or more

Navy blue scrubs required. Lift equipment including Sara Steady available.
