Opportunity:

RN - Tele Neuro

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• First to float; may float to sister facility MGMC
• 28-bed Neuro unit (D4 Neuro)
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4
• Charge Nurse available with no patient assignment; Clinical Supervisor also present in a management role
• PCTs available at a ratio of 1 per every 16 patients
• Centralized telemetry monitoring; RNs must be able to interpret EKGs
• No ventilator management required
• No ICP monitoring required
• Common diagnoses include neuro post-surgical, post-craniotomy, spine, and CVAs post TPA patients
• Hospitalist rounds during the day and is on call at night
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Navy
• 2-day floor-specific orientation included
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving an offer via RELIAS (maximum 2 attempts)
• Pass/Fail exam on day 1 of orientation with emphasis on sterile field; study materials will be provided
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required (within the past 6 months)
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or up to 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
