ED - Emergency Room

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a 22-bed emergency department with additional vertical space for overflow patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge coordinator, 5-6 nurses, 1 tech, and 1 medic
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge coordinator, 5-6 nurses, 1 secretary, and 1 tech/medic
• Every other weekend required, including at least 1 Friday and 1 Monday within a 4-week schedule
• No on-call required
• Strong IV skills for both adult and pediatric patients required
• Excellent communication skills required
• Trauma experience and TNCC preferred
• Experience with Meditech (EDM) EMR preferred
• Perform typical emergency department procedures including cardioversion, central line placements, cardiac arrests, IV insertions, EKGs, pacemaker interrogation, code stroke protocol, code sepsis protocol, and suture/abscess setup
• Work with Philips and GE monitors as well as Level 1 Rapid Infuser equipment
• May float to freestanding emergency department approximately 15 minutes away
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI
• Scrub color required: Teal top with black or teal bottoms
