Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift position on a Cardiac Telemetry unit
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week working three 12-hour shifts
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for days, nights, and weekends
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
• No on-call required
• Float within service line to meet facility needs
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy
• No parking cost
• Required skills include telemetry/reading rhythms, cardiac medications and drips (no titration), external pacemaker management, and chest tube monitoring
• Additional skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, PICC line management, post cardiac angiogram care, pre/post cardiac catheterization care, pre/post cardiac surgery care, and IV placement and maintenance
• Patient diagnoses include TAVR, LAA telemetry, cardiac patients, pre and post cardiothoracic surgery care, chest tubes, and post PCI
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, phlebotomy, and unit secretary
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS; ACLS and CPI preferred
