PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - IMC Inpatient

Job Details:

• Day shift position from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Provide individualized, high quality, and safe patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population specific characteristics such as age, gender, and disease
• Partner with patients and significant others through bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care using inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods
• Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses, staff, or students
• Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, vasopressor management, ventilator knowledge, and CRRT preferred
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
• Must have active Georgia RN license or compact license
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (required within 180 days if not held upon hire)
• Must pass dysrhythmia test
• Associates, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills required
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive and composed manner
• Excellent time management, critical thinking, and analytical skills required
