PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - IMC Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Provide individualized, high quality, safe patient care as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team
• Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice
• Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population specific characteristics such as age, gender, and disease
• Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate communication methods including bedside shift report and interdisciplinary rounds
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care within a professional care delivery model
• Serve as preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses and staff
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities
• Preferred experience includes hemodynamic monitoring, vasopressor management, ventilator knowledge, and CRRT
• Minimum of 1 year ICU experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC) and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must pass dysrhythmia test
• Active Georgia RN license or compact license required
• Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills required
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner
