Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 54-bed Med-Surg unit including an 11-bed dedicated ortho/spine unit
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for RNs and 1:12-15 for PCTs with RN/LPN team model
• At least one weekend shift required within each 4-week period
• Floating within unit at discretion of unit leadership
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Care for medical-surgical patients, orthopedic and spine patients, trauma patients, and psych medical hold patients
• Perform general medical/surgical procedures including post-catheterizations, lap appy/chole, thoracentesis/paracentesis, dedicated spine and joint care, stable traumas, HD/peritoneal dialysis, CBI, and special procedures performed by IR
• Utilize equipment including Alaris pumps, remote telemetry, continuous pulse ox, specialty beds, transfer equipment, wound vacs, chest tubes, NG and feeding tubes, bladder scanners, and 12-lead EKG machine
• Document using Meditech system
• Additional technology includes Teletracking, MobiLab, Patient Keeper, Inspire App, and Wound Capture
• Required skills include thorough assessment, prioritization, critical thinking, and time management
• Required certifications: BLS; ACLS optional
• Required dress code: Grey scrubs
