Med Surg Oncology RN Job in Memphis, TN

Methodist University Hospital in Memphis is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical Oncology. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 3x12-hour night shifts, paying $2,099 per week.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years recent Oncology Med Surg experience; 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and Chemo (ONS/ONCC)
• Oncology certification (ONC) strongly preferred

Your Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy including IV push, continuous infusion, and oral administration
• Manage and access ports, PICC lines, and central lines; perform blood draws
• Administer blood products, coagulation factors, antiemetics, antifungals, antitumor agents, and antivirals
• Monitor and manage chemotherapy side effects; recognize abnormal lab values
• Provide care for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and solid tumor cancers
• Manage neutropenic precautions, infusion pumps, and PCA pumps
• Perform wound care, foley catheter insertion and management, and phlebotomy
• Provide patient and family education and support

Assignment Details:

• 36 or 48-hour shift options available
• On-call required as needed
• 7 weekend shifts per contract required
• Team nursing model: 1:6 ratio split between 2 RNs, LPNs, medication nurse, and charge nurse
• 32 orientation hours included
• Start date: November 2, 2026

Facility Support: Interdisciplinary services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Must work 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays if all three fall within assignment. All requested time off must be submitted at application. ADN accepted; BSN not required.
