Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

Join Southern Hills Medical Center as a Registered Nurse on our 25-bed medical surgical unit located on the 3rd floor. This is a travel position offering 91 days of work, with flexible scheduling and the opportunity to gain broad clinical experience in a collaborative care environment.

Position Details:

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday); weekday scheduling is flexible
• Weekly pay: $1,881
• Start date: November 16, 2026

Unit Information:

• Patient ratios: 6:1 on nights
• Floating policy: PRN, typically between medical surgical units
• Unit support: 2–3 patient care technicians (PCTs) during nights
• Documentation: Meditech electronic health record system

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Patient assessment, IV and foley catheter placement
• Management of IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
• Equipment operation: Sara Steady lift, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter, and remote telemetry
• Patient Experience requirements including BSSR and hourly rounding

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• NIH and CPI certifications preferred
• Strong assessment skills and experience with IV therapy and medication management systems
• Black or Royal Blue scrubs required
