Physical Therapist Job in Gainesville, FL

You'll work as a Physical Therapist in a new 30-bed rehabilitation unit at HCA Florida Gainesville Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. This is a day-shift position in a startup environment where you'll help establish clinical workflows and contribute to building a strong rehabilitation program from the ground up.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and functional assessments
• Design and deliver therapeutic exercises and gait training
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient transfers
• Provide education to patients and families
• Work independently in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting
• Use inpatient rehabilitation gym equipment, including balance and gait systems
• Document care in the Meditech (Expanse) electronic health record system

Schedule and Environment

• Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with weekend rotation
• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Patient ratio: 7:1
• Work alongside 22 staff members including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and technicians

Requirements

• Current Therapy degree and Physical Therapist credential
• BLS certification required
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) is accepted
• Ability to work in a startup unit environment

Compensation and Assignment Details

• Weekly pay: $2,091
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: July 14, 2026
• Light gray scrubs required
