Job Details:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process
• Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care
• Administer medications and perform treatments in an accurate and safe manner
• Implement physician orders as written
• Provide education for patients and families from admission through discharge
• Document nursing process thoroughly, concisely, accurately, and legibly
• Notify physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
• Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and report malfunctions to proper department
• Supervise and direct the work of nursing assistants in a professional manner
• Manage urgent situations calmly while demonstrating empathy and genuine care for patient welfare
• Prioritize multiple work tasks simultaneously using strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Position requires heavy work, including exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and frequent patient handling activity
• Valid Ohio nursing license required
• CPR certification required
• Previous registered nursing experience preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program required (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
