Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Harrisonville, MO

Tide Health Group - Golden Years in Harrisonville, MO is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a 91-day temporary assignment. You will work day shifts, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, at $1,670.40 weekly. Start date: July 27, 2026.

Your Role:

You will deliver evidence-based physical therapy support under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Your responsibilities include administering rehabilitation and skilled treatment interventions, utilizing manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and assistive devices. You will assess patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate treatment effectiveness to your supervising therapist to adjust care plans as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions per the Physical Therapist's plan
• Assess patient progress and report findings to your supervisor
• Counsel patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders and treatment
• Document all required clinical and regulatory information accurately in the electronic system and maintain patient records per company policy
• Record treatment minutes and services provided in compliance with regulatory standards
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings
• Assist with discharge summaries and regulatory documentation
• Support the supervising Physical Therapist with DME and supply requests
• Participate in facility trainings, in-services, and required conferences
• Supervise and support students under Physical Therapist guidance
• Adhere to APTA and Missouri practice acts, code of conduct, and professional ethics

Requirements:

• Active Missouri PTA license
• Minimum 1 year PTA experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required

No on-call or weekend requirements. This is a long-term care setting focused on patient rehabilitation and functional recovery.
