Occupational Therapy Assistant Job in Sandwich, MA

Join Tide Health Group - Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Sandwich, MA. This is a 91-day temporary position offering 5x8-hour day shifts at $1,645 weekly.

In this role, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to deliver rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and physical functioning disorders. Your responsibilities include:

• Administer rehabilitation procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device training
• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and assess patient progress
• Communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments based on patient outcomes
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and service providers regarding treatment plans
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain accurate patient records
• Record treatment minutes for services provided according to regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Complete facility and company required trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Support and supervise students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards

Requirements:

• Active Massachusetts OTA license
• 1+ years of OTA experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience
• No on-call or weekend requirements
