ED RN Job in Austin, TX

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in the Emergency Department at St. David's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. This is a night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating weekend schedule.

About the Role

You will work in an 11-bed free-standing emergency department with a lean staffing model of one charge nurse and one RN per shift. Your responsibilities include performing IV starts, 12-lead EKG administration, and comprehensive patient assessments. You will work with equipment including ventilators and point-of-care lab machines, and utilize the Meditech EMR system for documentation and patient care coordination.

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience
• Free-standing emergency department (FSED) experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Willingness to support colleagues in a fast-paced environment

Shift and Schedule Details

Night shift hours are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with no on-call requirements. You will work a rotating weekend schedule as part of the assignment. The contract runs for 13 weeks, with a start date of October 12, 2026.

Compensation and Logistics

Weekly pay is $1,708.20. Navy blue scrubs are required for this position.
