ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 36/48 hour alternating schedule or straight 48s available
• Facility guarantees 84 hours biweekly for either schedule
• Shift start times will be 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, or 1:00 PM
• Weekend coverage required
• Block scheduling type
• Support both ED and CDU; CDU is run by ED provider with stable, independent patients and ratios up to 5:1
• Daily census of 190 patients across 62 rooms
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3 years preferred with experience in a high volume or trauma facility
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Key clinical skills include: arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, IV vasopressors, interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, 12-lead EKG/ECG, procedural sedation, phlebotomy, triage, splint application, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
• Experience with trauma, neuro-trauma, stroke, STEMI, psychiatric holds, and behavioral health conditions required
