ED RN Job in Corpus Christi, TX

You will work as an RN in a freestanding emergency department (FSED) at Corpus Christi Medical Center, a 24/7 facility serving the Corpus Christi, TX area. This is a 13-week travel assignment beginning October 19, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• Shift: 3×12 nights (7 PM–7 AM)
• Weekly pay: $1,674
• Weekend availability required

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care in a 6-bed unit with 4 vertical beds. On your night shift, you will work alongside 2 other RNs and a charge nurse. Patient ratios are 3 to 4 patients per nurse. You will perform assessments, IV blood draws, EKGs, Foley catheter insertion, orthopedic splinting, and wound care. You will operate equipment including vital sign machines, BiPAP, ventilator, nebulizer, ortho glass, and AED. Documentation occurs in the MEDITECH EMR system.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Willingness to float to the FSED as needed

Facility Details

The FSED operates around the clock with structured staffing: day shift includes 3 RNs (including charge) and 1 paramedic mid-shift; night shift includes 3 RNs including the charge nurse. You will wear blue scrubs.
