Physical Therapist Job in Bryan, TX

CHI St Joseph Regional Health Care Center in Bryan, TX is seeking a Physical Therapist for an 84-week inpatient acute care assignment. You will work 5 days per week on day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM in a Level III trauma center.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct inpatient physical therapy evaluations and treatments across telemetry, orthopedics, surgical, critical care, neurology, oncology, and general medical units
• Complete approximately 1 evaluation per hour or 10 treatments during an 8-hour shift
• Provide primary coverage in acute care with possible minimal coverage at a secondary acute care hospital
• Float as needed to support unit demands
• Precept staff members as requested
• Work with a team including 5 PTAs and 2–3 rehabilitation technicians on average

Schedule and Environment

• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• 2 full weekends per month required with compensatory days during the week; up to 3 weekends possible during 5-weekend months
• Alternating holiday schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Patient population consists primarily of adults and older teens

Onboarding and Requirements

• Orientation provided for 3–5 days based on your acute care experience, covering hospital procedures, electronic medical records (MEDITECH), and protocols
• BLS Certification required
• Maroon scrubs required

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,240
