Job Details:

• Work night shifts Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• On-call required for 2 nights and holidays
• Perform a wide variety of CT scanning procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history prior to procedures
• Administer contrast media following established procedures and protocols
• Review CT/radiographic images for clinically acceptable results
• Demonstrate proficiency with loading and operating power injector
• Maintain competency with venipuncture
• Ensure proper patient identification using 2 unique identifiers prior to performing procedures
• Transport, position, and assist patients on and off the procedure table
• Apply shielding, supportive, and immobilization devices and equipment
• Push and retrieve images from CT console to PACS
• Complete all studies in RIS before completing in PACS
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment
• Maintain Joint Commission standards and all other regulatory agency standards
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology required
• Less than 1 year of CT experience preferred
• Required certifications: ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R), ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT), and BLS (AHA, ARC, or Instructor)
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Must be competent in all aspects of CT including patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection
• Must be able to perform effectively in a stressful and fast-paced environment
