Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• Holiday coverage expected: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work both; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work 2 of the 3
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 12 orientation hours required
• Treats patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• 59-bed emergency department with a daily census of 250 visits
• Level 3 trauma center in process; designated primary stroke, CHF, STEMI, and chest pain center
• Telemetry competency exam required
• Proficiency with special equipment including Arctic Sun and GlucoCommander required
• Required skills include: care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and triage
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; preferred certifications include CPI, NIHSS, TNCC, and ENPC
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
