ED Registered Nurse Job in Augusta, GA

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This is a 63-week travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026, with four 12-hour day shifts per week and guaranteed 48 hours weekly. You will earn $2,033 per week.

You will work in a large, high-acuity, non-trauma emergency department that averages 165–175 patients daily. The department operates 59 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Your patient population spans adolescents to geriatrics, and the facility is both Stroke and STEMI certified.

Required qualifications:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required; preference given to those with at least 3 completed ER contracts
• Epic charting system experience (required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous charge nurse experience
• Community hospital experience
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience

Unit details: The ED uses the Pyxis medication system. Scrubs are navy blue. Floating within facility scope is rare but may occur. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy.

Schedule and time off: Every other weekend shift is required. You may request a maximum of 7 days off per contract, with no time off permitted during orientation week. If one or two major holidays fall during your assignment, you will work all of them. If three major holidays fall during your assignment, you will work two of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Spring Break blackout dates apply from April 4–12.
