Pharmacist Job in Richmond, VA

CJW Medical Center Chippenham Campus in Richmond, VA is seeking a Pharmacist for night shift pharmacy operations. This is an 11.5-hour night shift position running 4:00 PM to 3:30 AM, offering $992 weekly pay with a 168-week duration starting November 9, 2026.

You will work in a 463-bed hospital pharmacy setting, providing clinical and operational support across complex patient populations including trauma, burn, critical care, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, and ECMO cases. Your responsibilities include IV verification, medication verification, and IV compounding as needed.

Key Duties:

• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing for vancomycin AUC, aminoglycosides, and renal adjustments
• Manage anticoagulation protocols including warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, and DOACs
• Execute electrolyte protocols and advanced therapeutic management
• Verify complex medication orders and IV preparations
• Document across Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 Safe systems

Required Qualifications:

• Virginia State Pharmacist license
• Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Dose Edge IV, Pyxis, Meditech, and Vigilanz

Clinical Resources Available: Sanford Guide, Clinical Key, Uptodate, Vancomycin AUC calculator, Neofax, Briggs, and Lexicomp.

This position operates under a no-floating policy, keeping you anchored in the pharmacy department. The facility prefers silver or purple scrubs. You will have direct access to the clinical reference tools and technology systems needed to support high-acuity pharmacy practice.
