OR RN Job in Louisville, KY

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Louisville, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. This is an 8-hour shift position with a duration of 96 weeks, starting September 21, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,685.

As an OR RN, you will implement professional nursing practice centered on patient-centered care and a healing environment. You will apply evidence-based nursing practices in accordance with hospital and department policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Your work will draw on all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity in clinical decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing and documenting comprehensive patient assessments within RN scope of practice
• Considering patient culture, age, and developmental level when designing care actions and interventions
• Identifying patient risk factors and collecting objective and subjective data
• Developing and prioritizing patient problem lists based on input from the inter-professional team
• Determining desired outcomes in coordination with patient and family in accordance with the medical plan of care
• Fully implementing patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
• Explaining procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
• Recognizing, responding to, and communicating changes in patient condition appropriately
• Conducting and documenting ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies
• Delegating tasks appropriately and overseeing team members in the performance of patient care activities
• Monitoring accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care provided by other team members
• Identifying and addressing educational needs of patients related to prioritized problems
• Facilitating the patient discharge process by executing discharge orders in a timely manner
• Coordinating discharge planning with Case Management and other team members as indicated
• Actively participating in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
