Job Details:

• 1st shift position working two 12-hour shifts per week
• Shift hours are 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays
• No call required
• Implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person within a caring, healing environment
• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice
• Consider patient culture, age, and developmental level when designing care actions and interventions
• Identify patient risk factors, collect objective and subjective data, and obtain health information from family as necessary
• Develop prioritized problem lists and determine desired outcomes in coordination with patient and family
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in the performance of patient care activities
• Facilitate patient discharge process by executing discharge orders in a timely manner and coordinating with Case Management
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and pressure ulcer monitoring
• Promote a positive group dynamic and healing environment through evidence-based nursing practice
