ICU RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio is seeking an RN for a 13-week contract position in the Intensive Care Unit. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), with 36 guaranteed hours weekly and no call requirements.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a critical care environment
• Perform procedures including chest tubes, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and dressing changes
• Monitor and respond to patient condition changes with strong critical thinking
• Float to other units as needed per Methodist Hospital policy
• Maintain required documentation and comply with facility protocols

Requirements

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Minimum 2–3 years ICU experience
• IABP and CRRT exposure preferred
• Meditech system experience preferred

Assignment Details

• Start Date: May 18, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Weekly Pay: $1,708.20
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three nights per week
• Rotating weekend schedule

Facility Expectations

• Clock in at 6:38 AM/PM; arrival after 6:45 is considered tardy
• Mandatory 30-minute lunch break
• Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants with navy or white scrub jacket
• Hair must be neat and clean; tattoos should be covered when possible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
• Badging in and out required
