CVOR Technologist Surgical Tech Job in Northridge, CA

You'll work as a Surgical Technologist in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) and general OR at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 22, 2026, with 5x8-hour day shifts at $1,938 per week.

Your Role

You'll function as a first-to-float position, handling both cardiovascular and general surgical cases across 12 general OR suites, 1 dedicated CVOR suite, and 1 hybrid room. The facility performs approximately 14 cases per day. You must be comfortable with on-call responsibilities and an every-other-weekend schedule.

Case Types

• CVOR cases: Open heart, valve procedures, thoracotomy, and trauma
• General OR cases: Orthopedic (total joints), gynecology, urology, trauma, ENT, general surgery, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, and robotic (Da Vinci)

Required Experience

You must have hands-on experience in trauma, orthopedic, and general surgery. The facility does not perform transplant cases.

Required Credentials

• BLS Certification
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA
