CVOR Technologist Job in Redwood City, CA

Join Sequoia Hospital as a Surgical Tech (Allied Health Professional) in our Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting November 9, 2026, offering competitive weekly compensation of $1,142.

Position Overview

You will work a 3x12 rotating shift schedule with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Call requirements include one shift per week and every fourth weekend, with holidays covered by call staff. The facility may cancel up to 3–4 shifts per assignment depending on length. No evening or weekend shifts are required beyond the call rotation, and floating is not necessary.

Work Environment

You will operate in a 1:1 ratio within an acute care setting, staffing both the main OR (4 beds) and pavilion (8 beds). Your daily caseload will range from 15–25 cases, totaling approximately 400 cases per month. Main OR cases focus on orthopedic procedures including total hips, knees, and joint replacements. Pavilion cases encompass neuro and orthopedic spine, general, gynecology, urology, and ENT procedures. Cardiothoracic and robotic cases are assigned only to providers with relevant experience. Approximately 20–25% of cases are inpatient procedures with critical patients transferred directly to ICU post-op.

Systems and Support

The facility uses the Cerner Surginet EMR system; experience with this platform is strongly preferred. Scrub colors and attire are provided by the hospital. Your orientation includes one week of paperwork and one week of hands-on work with a preceptor.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• BLS certification required
• Allied Health Professional credential
