CVOR Technologist Surgical Tech Job in Redding, CA

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Surgical Tech with Allied Health Professional credentials to join our Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work in an acute care CVOR environment performing surgical technology duties. Your responsibilities include assisting with common cases such as CABG, valve procedures, pacemakers, lead extractions, and lung cases. You will maintain a 1:1 patient ratio and function as first to float when applicable. Scrub attire is provided by the facility.

Schedule and Hours

• 4x10-hour day shifts with varied start times
• Mid shifts: 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM start
• Standard shifts: 6:30 AM start
• Call required: 1–2 weeknights per week and weekend call approximately once per month (end of shift Friday through 6:30 AM Monday)
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required; holidays covered by call

Compensation and Assignment Details

Weekly pay: $1,882. Assignment duration: 91 days.

Orientation and Support

Orientation consists of 1 shift with a preceptor. You will report to the Clinical Supervisor, with the OR Director and OR Manager on site. OR Technicians staff the unit, and respiratory therapy and pharmacy are available 24/7.

Systems and Requirements

The facility uses Cerner SurgiNet EMR. BLS Certification is required.
