Physical Therapist Outpatient Job in Festus, MO

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, Missouri is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week outpatient assignment beginning June 28, 2026. This is a day shift position offering 36 guaranteed weekly hours on a 5×8 schedule, with weekend availability as needed per facility requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct initial physical therapy evaluations and develop plans of care upon receipt of physician orders
• Provide one-on-one patient treatment in a 1:1 model with no double booking or technician involvement
• Deliver 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute treatment sessions, with flexibility based on individual patient needs
• Maintain 80% productivity target focused on direct patient care time each shift
• Float across the outpatient therapy department as needed to support operational requirements

Patient Population and Clinical Focus

You will primarily treat adult patients with diagnoses including orthopedics, orthopedic surgery, pain management, neurological conditions, and sports medicine. You will work within a multidisciplinary outpatient therapy department that also provides occupational and speech therapy services.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Missouri
• Minimum 1+ years of clinical experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Flexibility and versatility to adapt to facility needs

Additional Information

Black scrubs are required; no other attire is acceptable. Weekend hours and float assignments will be assigned per facility needs. Weekly pay is $2,131 for this 91-day assignment.
