Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a 25-bed telemetry tech monitoring unit with patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24 months of experience in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele required
• Must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 12 months - no first-time travelers
• Post-op surgical care experience required including EGD, colonoscopy, cardiac cath, pacemaker, and minor surgery
• Must be experienced with the following drips and titrates: heparin, insulin, diuretic infusions, amiodarone, diltiazem, and 3% saline infusion
• Must be able to comfortably and confidently read EKG/ECG including all telemetry-related duties and responsibilities such as rhythm strips and dysrhythmia reads
• Will float across Med Surg units including post-op
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Skills checklist specific to Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele discipline required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
• Valid driver's license required
