RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical environment specializing in acute stroke and complex telemetry patients on a 34-bed unit
• Perform and document frequent neurological assessments including NIH Stroke Scale
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in real time
• Ensure compliance with stroke core measures including dysphagia screening, education, and care plans
• Administer medications using BCMA standards with a focus on safety and accuracy
• Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team including providers, therapy, and case management
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment
• Maintain constant focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and patient safety
• Work with primary and team nursing models
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Ability to read basic rhythm strips required prior to arrival
