Med Surg RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 12-hour Med Surg position specializing in orthopedic and trauma care in Rochester, NY. This 89-week travel assignment begins August 3, 2026, and offers weekly pay of $2,604.

Role Overview

You will care for patients with orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses. Your responsibilities include floating between units as needed, taking charge nurse duties when assigned, and participating in education and professional growth within a department recognized for research and innovation.

Schedule and Expectations

• 12-hour rotating shifts covering days, evenings, and nights
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts required per unit need

Required Qualifications

• Current New York RN license (NY licenses only)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma facility preferred
