Telemetry

Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a telemetry unit with 80 total beds (40 beds east, 40 beds west) on the 3rd floor of the main hospital campus
• Patient ratios of 4:1 for telemetry patients and 3:1 for PCU patients
• Day shift includes charge nurse, 10 nurses, 1.5 breaks, 3 CNAs, and sitter provided when needed
• Night shift includes charge nurse, 10 nurses, 1.5 breaks, 3 CNAs, and sitter provided when needed
• No on-call required; rotating weekends with no set schedule guaranteed
• 1.5 to 2 years of telemetry experience required
• PCU, telemetry, and stroke experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Work with equipment including Alaris pumps, telemetry boxes, Hoya lift, wound vacs, PCS pumps, glucometer, and mobilab
• Perform and assist with procedures including angiograms, post-op open hearts, stroke care, PCIs, various post-op surgeries, swallow dysphagia, TR band maintenance, chest tubes, wound vacs, and rhythm interpretation
• May float to 3CVE, 3CVW, and med-surgical units when needed
• Scrubs of any color accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
