Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours must be indicated on submission form
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Will float on a rotational basis
• Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week
• 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Tele experience required
• Experience and competence in drug titration required
• Patient ratios: Days 1:5-1:6, Nights 1:6-1:8 (estimates, not guarantees)
• 32-bed unit serving Cardiac/Med Surg patients
• Equipment used: Alaris pumps, telemetry, and lift equipment
• EMR system: EPIC
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA only, 4 trauma credits (must be completed within first two weeks if not already obtained), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Preferred certification: ACLS from AHA only
• Current RN license required - must meet criteria for eligibility or be currently licensed in Missouri
• Scrub color: Black
• Unacceptable attire: Torn clothes, open-toed shoes, or not wearing scrubs
• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care and patient rights
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time, significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
• Push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
• High risk exposure to blood and body fluids
