Telemetry RN Job in Springfield, MO

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Telemetry. You will work the night shift, providing direct patient care on a 24-bed unit that serves medical, medical telemetry, and observation patients.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Duration: 13 weeks, starting July 6, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,249
• Weekend hours required as scheduled by facility
• No on-call requirements
• Rotational float assignments
• Night shift staff orient during day hours and must be available the entire orientation week

Clinical Responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions using telemetry equipment and assess vital changes
• Perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across all age groups
• Titrate medications under physician direction
• Patient ratios: 1:6 to 1:7 on nights
• Coordinate care with ancillary departments and maintain professional accountability for patient rights
• Operate EPIC EMR system, telemetry monitors, lift equipment, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps

Requirements

• Current RN license, eligible in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competence in drug titration
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start if not already held)
• Black scrubs only
• Physical demands: standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and assisting with patient turning
