SLP Job in Plano, TX

Medical City Plano is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work day shifts, 5 days per week, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with two weekend shifts per month as part of the rotation schedule. No on-call or floating requirements.

About the Role

You'll provide one-on-one speech therapy treatments to acute care hospital patients and complete modified barium swallow studies (MBSS) in the radiology department. Your patient population spans Trauma Level 1, Neuroscience, ICUs, ECMO, Burn, Oncology, Orthopedic, and Spine floors. You'll serve both the acute care hospital (600 beds) and inpatient rehabilitation unit (40 beds), using the Meditech EMR system.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of full-time acute care hospital experience (Level 1 Trauma preferred) or LTAC experience
• Highly skilled in completing modified barium swallow studies
• Experience in acute care hospital settings required; candidates with work history solely in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient settings, Pediatrics, or School settings will not be considered
• Willingness to demonstrate accountability, flexibility, and open-mindedness
