SLP Job in Childress, TX

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) for a long-term care position at Avir Health Group, LLC - AVIR at Childress in Childress, Texas. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026.

Position Overview

You will provide comprehensive speech and language pathology services to residents in a long-term care setting. Your focus will be on developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address swallowing, cognitive, and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities
• Implement strategies to decrease aspiration risks in patients
• Provide communication treatment plans including techniques to help individuals be better understood and improve their comprehension of others
• Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services
• Ensure services are provided in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and established facility policies and procedures

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour days (day shift)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start Date: July 20, 2026
• No on-call responsibilities
• No weekend requirements

Qualifications

• Active Texas state license required
• Minimum 2 years of SLP experience required

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,701
