ICU Registered Nurse Job in Abilene, TX

Hendrick Medical Center South in Abilene, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026, offering three 12-hour day shifts per week at $2,107 weekly.

As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will deliver direct patient care in a critical care setting using the nursing process. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes and provide individualized care grounded in scientific nursing principles. You will interact professionally with patients and visitors while managing a broad range of acute medical and critical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients
• Work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other clinical staff
• Monitor patients continuously and respond to changing conditions
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Float to different units or alternate campus locations as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Current Texas RN License
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU or critical care services
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Altera charting experience

Eligibility Requirement:

You must reside 150 miles or more from the facility at the time of application.
