Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required with holidays as needed
• Float required across all facilities when census is down
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Primary patient population is Medical Surgical with telemetry capability
• Patient diagnoses include observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical/surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice patients, psychiatric observation, diabetes, and surgical patients/surgical observation
• Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, peripheral line care, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, telemetry, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• LTAC experience preferred
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
